Happy birthday Tom!! A slow start to the day, getting up and having breakfast before starting our acclimatisation day climb to Nangkartshang. This was also our chance to find phone signal for a birthday phone call later. The climb up to the viewpoint was quite steep and required us to take several rest stops as our bodies slowly got used to the altitude – feels like you are constantly running for a bus!! Took loads of photos of the view before heading back down the valley to the French bakery. 
A shared pizza followed by apple pie and chocolate cake was our lunch before we headed back to the tea lodge. I needed to wash my hair and, since I didn’t want to pay for a hot shower, I was directed to the hose pipe in front of the property… Had a chilled out afternoon, Jayne took a nap and I read some book before we went back up to the viewpoint to call Tom. Fortunately, we found signal before it began to snow too hard. Back at the lodge for dinner and UNO with the lodge owners son who taught us some new, Nepalese, rules!!
